We’re partnering with parents to see the gospel transform youth. We want youth to know what it means to follow Jesus in an ever-evolving cultural context. During Discipleship Hour, we worship and study Scripture as youth learn about living with a Christian worldview.

Grades 7–12 meet for Discipleship Hour on Sunday mornings at 10:15am. We encourage teens to attend a worship service with their family or friends before or after the Discipleship Hour.

Foundations of Grace Part 1: Ephesians

Grades 7–8 | Meets in Room 19 | Starts September 14

The letter to the Ephesians shows that Christ is the cornerstone of His promised new temple, a temple that is no longer a place, but a people. And through the inclusion of Gentiles into this new temple, the church, God has finally fulfilled His promise to Abram given in Genesis 12, a promise that all nations would be blessed through him. This new identity for God’s church changes everything. In Christ, all of God’s people now have access to every spiritual blessing and have been called to a new life. And through this new life, the church is now a present reflection of God’s coming kingdom.

Christian Worldview

Grades 9–10 | Meets in Room 19 | starts september 7

This class walks our youth through conceptual tools for how to assess the world and the things in it through a Christian lens. As time passes, the world and the church are growing further and further away from each other. Things like moral absolutes, an understanding of human accountability before God, and the existence of objective truth are no longer taken for granted as they once were. The Christian narrative of the world is competing with many others in the public square, so it’s important to understand what makes the Christian worldview so satisfying, whereas others fall short.

Gospel Foundations

Grades 11–12 | Meets in Room 18 | starts september 7

This class explores how the gospel is the central message of the Bible and the primary word of Christianity. From Genesis to Revelation, we see a narrative of human sin and failure, alongside divine mercy and redemption. Various studies have shown that the single strongest predictor of whether a child will attend church as an adult is their ability to articulate the gospel accurately and in terms of grace.
