Meets Sundays 5–7pm at McLean Pres during the school year | View 2024–25 calendar of events
You’re invited; any week is a great time to join in! Students gather together at McLean Presbyterian Church on Sunday evenings to encounter God through worship, teaching, mentorship, and developing friendships.
Each week, middle-schoolers and high-schoolers meet separately, alternating between Breakthrough and D-Groups: on weeks when Middle School Breakthrough meets, high-schoolers meet in D-Groups — and middle-schoolers meet in D-Groups during High School Breakthrough weeks.
Questions? Contact Jake Jenkins ([email protected]), Director of Student Ministries.
At Breakthrough (youth group), we continue to grow in relationship with God and one another through fellowship, food, teaching, and engaging in tough topics relevant to the life of our youth. Middle-schoolers (7–8th grades) meet separately from high-schoolers (9th–12th grades).
In Discipleship Groups (D-Groups), students encounter Christ in a smaller setting and are mentored by an adult leader. Groups are organized by grade and gender. Students meet in their D-Groups on alternate weeks from Breakthrough.
Hey parents! We need parent volunteers to help prepare and serve meals during the evening programing. Sign up to prepare, serve, and clean up dinner for our 4th—12th graders one Sunday night. Supplies, recipes, and kitchen provided!
We are thankful that we can expand our Sunday evening programing this year! As we increase the opportunities for our students to grow in fellowship and the gospel, this also adds extra expense to our ministry. Though it isn’t required, we encourage your student(s) to bring $5 cash per meal for the days your student(s) has D-Group or $25 for the whole semester.
