Liz Edrington serves as our Associate Director of Care, partnering with our Director of Care, Laura Welke, to build up and support our church through our Care Ministry. She is passionate about fostering healthy relationships and seeing people become more of who the Lord has created them to be. Her pulse beats at the intersection of theology and psychology, and she enjoys pondering the many ways Jesus delights in bringing us into a deeper relationship with himself. She loves being a student of cultivating space for connection.

Liz studied Sports Medicine at the University of Virginia, and she received her M.A. in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. She served at North Shore Fellowship in Chattanooga, TN for ten years, and practiced as a counselor for about 6 years. She also taught as an adjunct professor in the psychology department at Covenant College. She is the author of Anxiety: Finding the Better Story, which won The Gospel Coalition’s Book Award for Best Bible Study & Devotional Literature in 2023. She was a long-time steering committee member for Rooted: Advancing Gospel-Centered Youth Ministry, and she still considers teenagers to be some of her greatest instructors.

In her free time, she enjoys tasting delicious things, dancing, spending time soaking in the beauty outdoors, and laughing at ridiculous things. Her “Snuggle Beast”, Bella the Dog, is perhaps the sweetest creature on the planet.
