Bill brings his gifted intellect and varied experience to the role as our Executive Pastor, shepherding our church-planting and multisite efforts, helping grow and improve our ministry support functions, teaching courses for our Capital Fellows program, and leading The Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation, and Culture. A longtime teacher, Bill is passionate about helping our congregation understand God’s Word and how it can transform their lives.
Bill also serves as the Dean of Students and Professor of Old Testament for Reformed Theological Seminary in New York City. He earned his MDiv from RTS and an MA and PhD in Semitic and Egyptian Languages and Literatures from Catholic University. Prior to becoming a pastor, Bill worked as a management consultant, which shaped both his approach to pastoral ministry and his emphases on faith, work, and vocation.
Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, Jill, and daughters Caroline and Evelyn. He relaxes by spending time outdoors.
