From our Heart of Christ Committee: One of our Afghan refugee friends is an entrepreneurial 14-year-old young woman who has started a business selling Afghan crafts. Proceeds go to helping young women in Afghanistan.

About Her Craft

Founded by Taiba Rahmani, a 14-year-old Afghan-American living in Arlington, VA, Her Craft, operating under the legal name Woven Vibes LLC is a purpose-driven for-profit business dedicated to empowering Afghan girls and young women by investing in their education, skill development, and financial independence. We go beyond simply purchasing handmade crafts at fair market value in Afghanistan. For every product sold, we allocate one-third of the profit directly to our artisans, empowering them to pursue educational goals and develop valuable skills to transform their futures.

A portion of sales proceeds is used every four years to sponsor one or two Afghan girls to receive a life-changing education in the United States. This dual approach ensures both immediate support for artisans and long-term opportunities for girls to break free from cycles of poverty and oppression.
