Starting Sunday, Sept. 12, Jr. High (grades 7–8) will meet weekly at 10:45am for Sunday School at Churchill Road Elementary School (“Churchill”). We also periodically hold Adult Christian Education classes at Churchill.
We’re excited to give kids a space to build friendships and explore God’s Word. Here’s how you can help make it a smooth experience:
For safety and ease of traffic flow, students need to use the shuttles instead of walking between McLean Presbyterian Church and Churchill. Shuttle buses are available regularly from 8:30am—12:15pm and can be picked up in front of the main church building and in front of Churchill ES. Masks are required on the shuttles, per federal transportation mandate.
You can choose whether or not to accompany your student back and forth, or if they’ll take the shuttle themselves. Please coordinate with your student where (and when!) you’ll meet them.
Please pick a parking lot, and stick to it once you’re there! If you drop your student off at Churchill, then please park at Churchill and shuttle to the church. Or, if you park at the church, please then have your student take the shuttle to get to Churchill. This is a huge help for keeping our traffic/shuttle flow steady and preventing back-ups.
The church parking lot is one-way on Sundays: cars enter in from the North entrance (nearest Georgetown Pike) and then exit from the South. Parking is not available in the neighborhood across from the church, or along any curb that’s been painted yellow (these spots are needed for emergency vehicles). There are police, parking volunteers, cones, and signs to help guide you on your way!
In addition to our main lot, parking is available at Churchill. Simply exit our parking lot, turn right, and take your third left onto Churchill Road. Look for Overflow Parking signs guiding you to the school (7100 Churchill Road).
