About the Movie

Inspired by the powerful true story, Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot follows Donna and Reverend Martin as they ignite a fire in the hearts of their rural church to embrace children in the foster care system who needed adoptive families, proving that steady, determined love can transform the lives of vulnerable children.

⚠️Please note: this film is not suitable for young eyes and we are unable to provide childcare. The film is rated PG-13 and is recommended for audiences 16+. While not overly graphic, the film does show some heavy themes including child abuse and neglect. View more information about content warnings and potential triggers.

About Project Belong

Project Belong is a local mission partner of MPC. They inspire, recruit, and resource churches and families in Northern Virginia to foster and adopt, in order to spread the love of Christ to children in crisis.

Project Belong believes that the church is the hope of the foster care and adoption crisis: the gospel makes all things new and can heal the wounds caused by the brokenness that brings children into crisis. Few are called to foster or adopt, but everyone in the church can do something to help.
