We are looking for a kind, trustworthy and reliable nanny for our two boys, starting in early June. We are looking for someone full-time, Monday through Friday. Our oldest is 2 years old and the other will be 3 months old when you’d start. The majority of the time will be spent with the 3 month old as our 2 year old will be attending pre-school in the mornings starting in the fall. On school breaks you will have both boys full time. Mom works from home 3 days a week and is in the office two days a week. Dad works outside of the home full time. Hours would roughly be 8AM-4:30PM on my work from home days and 7:45AM-5PM on my office days. There is some flexibility with this schedule and we’re willing to make adjustments where we can. We can pay $25-$27 an hour depending on experience.
Our two year old son has Down Syndrome and is the sweetest toddler with a very laid back personality. He attends Physical Therapy once a week as of now and we would need assistance taking him to this appointment and doing his daily exercises, which are very simple. Due to his diagnosis we have a CCC+ waiver which is a program that assists us with paying for a nanny. It also requires a background check, US citizenship and the use of a payroll system. We also ask that you are CPR certified (or willing to get CPR certified) and have a safe driving record. You will need a drivers license and a vehicle you are able to transport 2 kids in, although you’re also welcome to use our car on my work from home days.
General responsibilities would include infant care for the 3 month old, bottle feeding, light housework associated with the kids (cleaning bottles, doing their laundry, cleaning playroom.) We will also need assistance getting our toddler to/from preschool in the fall. We would love for the boys to get outside as much as possible, go on walks, go to the park, etc.
Other benefits include 2 weeks paid time off, paid federal holidays off, and 1 paid week off in July when we are on vacation. We live in a single-family home in the Fair Lakes area in Fairfax. We also have a small dog who is very low maintenance and you would only be expected to let him out in the backyard for bathroom breaks on the days mom is at the office.
