Through Arts in Ministry, we seek to celebrate God’s gift of creativity by integrating the arts throughout the life of our church and community for God’s glory and for the good of others. Humans were created with the capacity to consider, to craft, and to create. While it is not the same kind of creating that God the Father does—creating ex nihilo (from nothing)—we still reflect his creativity by using the variety of gifts, skills, and talents that he has given us.
The creative arts have the potential of helping connect our head, hands, and heart in unique ways. Whether through music, the visual arts, storytelling, creative writing, or dance, the world of the arts helps remind us that we are more than just our intellect. God gave us the ability to imagine and create to proclaim his beauty, goodness, and truth to one another and to the world around us.
