English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes help non-native English speakers advance their conversational skills and learn more about American culture. We do our best to match each student’s skill level to one of our six levels of classes.

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently meeting for classes. This is temporary, and we hope to have in-person classes as soon as we can.

In this season, we are pairing native and non-native speakers as conversation partners. Conversation partners can choose to meet virtually or in-person. See below for details.

Become a Conversation Partner

Could you give an hour per week to help international friends in our community to grow in confidence in speaking English? Conversation partners work with experienced MPC ESOL instructors to draw alongside English language learners who ordinarily come to weekly language and culture classes.

No formal training is required – just a willingness to learn from a mentor, to meet with and pray for your partner, and help them to take a step forward in their English abilities. Sign up below for this opportunity to serve either over Zoom or in-person.

Register to Receive a Conversation Partner

As a non-native speaker, gain confidence in speaking English by meeting with a native speaker.

After registering, you will be paired with your conversation partner and begin meeting virtually or in-person depending on your preference.
