What’s Ahead

As the local context and staff/sustainability provides, we’re going to be adding more capacity to our worship and bringing back more ministries on site, in person. We’re hoping summer will be mostly normal, and then we’re planning and praying for our usual full fall kick-off for all ministries in September.

Unlimited Capacity Outdoor Worship Starting 4/18: Our 5:15pm service will move out to the parking lot. Bring a chair, spread out, and sing your heart out with us at this casual service.Childcare for 1 years – pre-K and Children’s Church for K – 3 is available. RSVPs not required for worship but are required for children’s ministry! Sign up to get the RSVP email each week.

Children’s Ministry for 0–3rd Grade: We want to expand our Sunday offerings for our little ones at all service times, and create more space in Children’s Church. Volunteer at McLean & Fairfax to help make this happen!

Latest Update

We’re actively planning for more in-person worship and ministry opportunities over the next few weeks and months. Check out our plans for April – August (which, of course, are subject to change based on local conditions!).

Frequently Asked Questions

When will we be able to host more people for in-person worship?
We are ramping up as quickly as we can given current volunteer teams, staff capacity and state guidelines. Our capacity for worship is currently capped by the social distancing requirements (which still currently apply even as vaccines roll out); as that changes for our context, we will adapt.

You can sit with with your quarantine pod – simply have one person RSVP for your group. The larger the groups on a Sunday, the more people we are able to fit in our worship venues.

Why do I have an assigned seat on Sundays?
We ask for RSVPs and assign seats is so we can fit as many people as we possibly can into each service while maintaining the current recommended distance for this type of gathering. If you RSVP and are unable to make it, please contact [email protected] or [email protected] so we can open up your seats to someone else!

RSVPs are full when I get to the form. Is there any way to join in person on Sunday?
If all slots are full when you get to the form, let us know you want to come next week and we will send you the form early.

I’ve heard that social distancing is down to 3 feet. Shouldn’t that open up more space?
There are different social distancing requirements for different environments; at this point, three feet only applies to schools and we have adjusted children’s and student ministries gatherings to reflect this recommendation. Six – ten feet is the current guideline for worship services and singing. Again, as soon as that changes, we will adjust!

When will more Children’s Ministry be available on Sundays?
We are actively planning to expand Children’s Church to more ages and begin to offer childcare for our youngest ones over the next few weeks, but we are unable to do this without volunteers! Pray about it, and sign up at McLean or Fairfax.

What safety measures are you taking?
We are asking groups to maintain social distance and will wear masks inside. We’re cleaning before and between services. View full details for McLean and Fairfax.
