We seek to provide a safe, healthy, stimulating environment where infants and toddlers feel loved and confident to learn and explore. To prepare you and your family for a smooth experience in our nursery, here are some helpful details:

  • Sign-In and Check-Out Procedures

  • Sign-In and Check-Out Procedures

  • Sick Child Policy

  • Diaper Bag Checklist

Your children’s safety is our priority. All volunteers are screened and the church implements a Child Abuse Prevention Policy, which includes staffing each room with a minimum of two adults.

To ensure safety, we implement an electronic check-in system. For your first visit, a volunteer will check in your children at our Welcome Desk. You will provide your phone number or a bar code, which can then be used at any of our stations throughout the lower level on future Sundays.

When using a self check-in station, follow the instructions on the screen, affix the printed name tag to your child(ren), and keep the parent pick-up slips. We’ll text you if you’re needed and post your child’s check-in number on the LED screens at the front of the sanctuary. Please note that children 3rd grade and younger need to be escorted to their rooms after being checked-in and only adults ages 18 and over can check in a child.

To check out your child(ren), simply show the teachers the pick-up slip(s) you receive during the check-in process. For security, we ask that only one parent picks up a child.

Please keep your child at home when you note any of the following within 24 hours of a church event:

  • Fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Rash
  • Diarrhea
  • Yellow/green runny nose
  • Persistent productive cough
  • Vomiting

A child being treated with antibiotics should be on the drug for at least 24 hours before entering the nursery.

There is space available in each room to store your diaper bag. Please label all diaper bags and items in your child’s diaper bag. We recommend including the following:

  • 2–3 disposable diapers (If you use cloth diapers, we ask that you come to change your child’s diaper.)
  • Wipes
  • 1–2 bottles and instructions for feeding
  • Pacifier
  • Change of clothes and a plastic bag for wet clothes
