K-12 Classical Christian School seeks part-time Teacher’s Assistant/Technology Coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year. This is a combination position that will require a basic understanding of technology, the ability to relate well and demonstrate presence and authority with children of all ages, and a willingness to serve others. As Technology Coordinator, this person will be responsible for serving as a resource to teachers in the use of the Google Suite, including Google Classroom; webcams, microphones, and incoming HDMI feeds to in-class screens; and working with outside providers to resolve connectivity problems. Technology issues should be relatively rare, so this position will ordinarily serve as a teacher’s assistant at the Oakton campus, providing assistance with oversight of classwork, lunch/recess, arrival/dismissal, and classroom instruction. All candidates must be supportive of the school’s faith-based mission. Since teacher’s assistants will pray with students, assist with teaching the Christian studies curriculum, and act as models of Christ-centered living for their students, candidates must agree fully with the school’s statement of faith and attend a Christian church regularly.
