Carter Berry
Hometown: Charlottesville, Virginia
Alma Mater: University of Virginia
Internship: Jill’s House
I am drawn by the opportunity as a fellow to grow in my faith with a community of support around me. In the future I hope to pursue medical school and a career as a doctor. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, cooking, or just watching a good movie. I hope to meet you soon!
Mollie Bradford
Hometown: Tupelo, Mississippi
Alma Mater: University of Mississippi
Internship: For the Nations
Vocationally, I would like to work in the human rights field, speaking Spanish daily. The fellows program will help me explore my calling, grow in Christ, live out my faith boldly, and gain a deeper understanding of the gospel. I enjoy reading, being active, and socializing.
William Crouch
Hometown: Fletcher, North Carolina
Alma Mater: University of North Carolina
Internship: Rep. Mark Meadows’ Office
On campus, I was involved with Cru and the Beta Upsilon Chi fraternity. I plan to explore a policy career path. I’m looking forward to diving deeper in my faith and learning how God is working to heal a divided world. I also enjoy pick-up basketball.
Nathalie Flores
Hometown: Gallatin, Tennessee
Alma Mater: University of Tennessee
Internship: Pinkston Group
College was a wonderful season that helped me find my calling: serving others. When I discovered Capital Fellows, I knew Jesus had ordained this as my next step. I’m eager to learn more about Him and my calling, and to be part of this welcoming community.
Laura Hernandez
Hometown: Vorhees, New Jersey
Alma Mater: Northwestern University
Internship: Rep. Bill Posey’s Office
I hope this year is rooted in growth, spiritually, relationally, and personally. I am humbled to be working on Capitol Hill. After the fellows program I intend to apply to law school. I love to read, being outside, and exploring museums and gardens.
Amy Huynh
Hometown: New Holland, Pennsylvania
Alma Mater: University of Pittsburgh
Internship: McLean Presbyterian – Children’s Ministry
I feel God is calling me to use my passions for people and the Gospel in ministry and teaching. I applied to Fellows to learn to serve more humbly, joyfully and wholeheartedly. I enjoy hiking, reading, roller-blading, volleyball, playing piano, and dancing.
Esther James
Hometown: Sterling, Virginia
Alma Mater: Grove City College
Internship: Conference of State Bank Supervisors
Growing up at MPC, the Fellows had a major impact on my life. I’m excited to be a one and look forward to investing in relationships, rediscovering D.C. and learning how to apply my education. I’m a fan of coffee, pie, hammocking, and campfires!
Brian McClain
Hometown: Bakersfield, California
Alma Mater: Fordham University
Internship: McLean Presbyterian – Worship Team
I plan to pursue work in the film industry. I was drawn to Fellows to experience a new city and to share my worship experience with MPC. I hope the year will be an adventure of fellowship, growth, and a renewing joy in God. I love movies and TV shows, music, and reading.
Carter Rief
Hometown: Montgomery, Alabama
Alma Mater: Wofford College
Internship: Project Belong
I am discerning a call to ministry: perhaps college ministry, non-profit work, pastoral ministry, or another avenue to which the Lord leads. I take great pleasure in long road trips, op-eds by David Brooks, and the show Pardon the Interruption on ESPN.
Rachel Sewell
Hometown: Brentwood, Tennessee
Alma Mater: Auburn University
Internship: HSP Direct
I thought obedience involved the mission field. But the Lord has different plans for me. I love the idea of applying my gifts vocationally. I am so expectant of what He will do with my time as a fellow. I enjoy hanging out with friends, drinking coffee, running, and reading.
Sarah Frances Smith
Hometown: Knoxville, Tennessee
Alma Mater: University of Tennessee
Internship: Institute for Cross Cultural Mission
My vocational focus is foreign policy. I’ve spent the past few years in the Middle East studying conflict resolution and making friends. I love the way that other cultural perspectives add to our understanding of the Gospel! I also enjoy being outdoors, especially hiking and camping.
Alex Tresser
Hometown: Wexford, Pennsylvania
Alma Mater: Marymount University
Internship: Cru Washington D.C.
During college, I played volleyball and was involved with Cru D.C., where I’ll be interning this year. The new fellows class was introduced on my first visit to MPC, that stuck with me. I look forward to getting to know the fellows and becoming a tight knit family!
