The Web Specialist position is responsible for building out amazing user experiences on Prison Fellowship digital properties. This includes translating marketing and design visuals into well-coded, responsive, dynamic, web pages and email templates within the website CMS (WordPress), and marketing platform (Marketo and Salesforce). Responsibilities include guiding enhancements and augmentations to the Prison Fellowship website, optimizing digital properties for maximum performance and scalability, suggesting and implementing new digital marketing technology, and working with marketing automation tools to help guide user journeys.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Front End Developer and Webmaster: Act as the primary front-end developer for the Prison Fellowship marketing team – Translating marketing and design visuals into well-coded, responsive, dynamic, web pages and email templates within the website CMS (WordPress), and marketing platform (Marketo and Salesforce). Augmenting website functionality to create amazing user experiences. Also, responsible for keeping the website CMS running smoothly.
Marketing Technologist: Help guide the path forward for Prison Fellowship digital properties. This position will also function as marketing technologist – evaluating goals, researching opportunities, creating roadmaps, and implementing upgrades to help improve the Prison Fellowship digital properties, and provide new and exciting opportunities for the ministry moving forward.
Automation Support: Support web and email goals by helping to create great customer experiences through marketing automation. Utilizing tools like Salesforce and Marketo to create personalized user journeys that engaging supporter experiences.
Minimum years of relevant experience: 2-3 years’ experience in web development and/or website design
Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Knowledge areas: Web design and UI development principles, including and presenting design work through wireframes and mockups; Web development, including coding for performance, responsive design, cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility; Website Testing Methodology; Email Testing Methodology; Website Infrastructure (Server, DNS, etc.); Principles of data and information taxonomy; Databases; CMS Infrastructure. Experience solving technical problems creatively and effectively. Basic digital marketing, web design and UI development principles
Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Percentage of travel required: <5%
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
